New Yorkers Against Hidden Predators (NYAHP) is committed to passing the Child Victims Act in New York and holding legislators accountable for failure to act. It is a founding member of United to Pass the Child Victims Act (UPCVA) - an umbrella coalition of survivors and advocates fighting to see the bill become law. NYAHP is seeking to reform New York State's antiquated child sexual abuse laws and bring to justice the hidden sexual predators that live in our communities today.
NYAHP works tirelessly to focus attention on the lack of leadership in the New York State Senate in addressing the heinous crimes that have been committed against our children which allows predators to continue to escape justice because of the state's outdated laws. Our organization is holding accountable the state legislators who have blocked the Child Victims Act from coming to a vote and we are exposing them for protecting predators living in our communities.
New York ranks as one of the worst states in the nation when it comes to the laws that allow these predators to be brought to justice, and our goal is to radically change this once and for all.
Do you want to get involved and help us bring the predators to justice and protect our children? Make sure you tell your local State Senator to stop protecting hidden predators in our communities. Call, and tell them to stop blocking the bill and to bring the Child Victims Act to a vote in the State Senate. We'll be targeting the State Senators listed below and have provided the phone numbers for each. Make sure your voice is heard! If you are a constituent of the district, let them know that.
